Every great Las Vegas story starts somewhere else. Ours starts on the streets of New York.

Two guys grew up there, where the subway rumbles under your feet, the music spills out of every doorway, and a real slice of pizza is folded in half and eaten standing up on the sidewalk. Somewhere between the corner pizzeria and the late-night clubs, they found the two things that would shape their lives: a love for great pizza and a love for a great show.

They spent their whole lives in the entertainment business. They booked the acts, packed the rooms, worked the doors, set up the sound, and stayed until the last song ended and the lights came up. They learned what makes a night unforgettable. It’s the right music, the right crowd, and the feeling that you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. They also learned that after every great night, everybody gets hungry.

So they asked themselves a simple question: Why not do both?

From the entertainment capital of the world. Las Vegas already had the lights, the energy and the nonstop nights. What it needed was a spot that felt like home to two New Yorkers. That meant a place with real New York pizza and a stage of their own.

They found that spot at 2548 W Desert Inn Rd, inside the Planet 13 Entertainment Complex. That’s where By the Slice, Powered by Pizza Bar 13 was born. The ovens fire up big 18-inch classic New York pies with thin, foldable crusts, tangy sauce and plenty of cheese. You can also grab a hot slice to go, just like back home. Every pie carries a little piece of the city they came from.

Right next door, they built something just as close to their hearts: Bar 13. Feather chandeliers glow above blue velvet lounge seating. A vintage Las Vegas mural covers the wall, and a marble bar pours handcrafted cocktails. Bar 13 isn’t just a place to have a drink. It’s the stage they always wanted, a room where they could finally host their own events, their way.

And host they have. Bar 13 has welcomed Soulja Boy for a live performance plus a fight night viewing party. It has put on comedy showcases that kept the whole room laughing, and Latin nights full of más fuego. Carl Thomas and Kokane took the stage for a night of soul, and the Luniz rocked the room with a live performance. The bar has thrown Hollywood Friday nights, a Secret Garden party, record release celebrations, soul and house parties, and a New Year’s Eve Eve that sent the year off right. Every event comes with the same promise: Booze + Bites + Beats. No cover, free parking, and great pizza just steps away.

For these two friends, it was never only about business. It’s about the moment a crowd lights up when the beat drops, and the smile on someone’s face after their first bite of a real New York slice. It’s about bringing people together the way they’ve done their whole lives.

They’re just getting started. More great events are on the way, along with more nights to remember, more artists on stage, and more parties at Bar 13. And of course, there’ll always be the best pizza you can find, made with New York heart in the middle of Las Vegas.
